There are some achievements that aren’t measured by trophies or titles. They’re measured by the difference they make to other people’s lives.
One of those moments for me came after taking part in the Galaxy Pageants, where I had the privilege of fundraising for The Christie Charity. Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family and supporters, together we raised £660 to help fund the charity’s life-changing work for people affected by cancer.
Receiving a Certificate of Special Thanks from The Christie was a touching reminder that every donation, no matter the size, can help make a real difference.
Cancer affects so many families, and charities like The Christie provide world-class treatment, pioneering research and vital support for patients and their loved ones. Knowing that our fundraising could play a small part in helping that work continue made every effort worthwhile.
One of the things I loved most about the Galaxy Pageants was that they were about so much more than the stage. They encouraged us to use our voices and our platforms to support causes that matter, proving that beauty is as much about kindness, compassion and community as it is about confidence.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported my fundraising. This certificate may have my name on it, but it belongs to every single person who donated, encouraged and believed in the cause.
