I’m Annie Stirk — a Yorkshire girl through and through, now happily in my seventies and living in Brandsby, North Yorkshire. I’m very aware how fortunate I am that health has stayed on my side, which means I can still enjoy a busy, creative life — travelling the country for my work and continuing to say yes to change, challenge and new opportunities.
My career began in food and education before gradually evolving into television, radio and media. Over more than 35 years, I’ve been lucky to work across broadcasting and production, including five years as a food stylist on ITV’s This Morning, alongside some of the UK’s best-known chefs. I was also a cook and presenter on Channel 5’s Open House with Gloria Hunniford and appeared across numerous BBC television and radio programmes.
Alongside broadcasting, I had the privilege of founding and running my own food PR agency and spent a decade as Food and Drink Consultant for Yorkshire Life magazine, hosting and chairing its much-loved awards.
After retiring at 67, I never expected to begin a new chapter as a silver model — but I’m grateful I did. It’s led to national campaigns and becoming an age-positive advocate for authentic representation.
Today, I work with broadcasters, brands, charities and organisations who believe it’s never too late to reinvent, contribute and live with purpose.
