If there’s one thing I’ve learned about beauty over the years, it’s this: chasing youth is exhausting — and completely unnecessary.
Real beauty, for me, has always been about confidence, comfort and knowing who you are. I’m not interested in looking twenty again. I’m far more interested in looking like myself, just well-rested, well-lit and feeling good in my own skin.
I’ve kept my approach to beauty simple. I look after my skin, drink plenty of water, and try to get enough sleep (though life doesn’t always cooperate). I wear make-up because I enjoy it — not because I feel I should. Some days that’s a bold lipstick, other days it’s barely anything at all.
I’ve had silver hair for years now, and choosing to embrace it was one of the most freeing decisions I ever made. Letting go of trying to “fix” myself created space to actually enjoy how I look.
Beauty isn’t about hiding lines or ticking boxes. It’s about feeling comfortable, visible and confident at whatever stage you’re in. When you feel good, it shows — far more than any product ever could.
That, to me, is timeless beauty.
